Inside Out

New approaches to personal photography projects

The main topic in Daniel Tchetchik’s workshop is the essence of story-telling, from documentary to abstract, and the connection to one's personal history.

Through his personal and professional journey, he will share his knowledge of what it takes to build a substantial body of work and sustain a career in the field. 

Please fill out and submit the form to participate in the workshop until April 10. Capacity is limited to 13 participants. Please, note that all signed participants have to present a portfolio and/or website and a short bio.

The workshop will be held in 4 meetings of two hours.

Program

First session:
Meeting the participants. A lecture about Daniel Tchetchik's work. A short assignment for the next session.

Second Session:
Portfolio review of each participant's work to be organized with a narrative concept. A group discussion about participants’ works and feedback about their approach to broaden and strengthen the work.

Third Session:
A tour around the Dark Waters exhibition with details on its creation. A talk about how to promote and sustain projects. 

Fourth Session:
Review of the assignment. Discussion on the results. A talk about additional Tchetchik’s projects: Days before Darkness and Route 90.

The project is implemented as part of the program of the State Institute for Culture under the Fund for Bilateral Relations of the EEA Financial Mechanism and the Norwegian Fund.
